Jung Woo-sung will participate as a producer of Netflix's new original 'Silence Sea'.
On the 23rd, Netflix announced that Jung Woo-sung will produce a new Korean original series and Space SF thriller 'Silence Sea'.
'Silence Sea' is the story of elite members who go to the research base abandoned on the moon to recover samples of questions in the background of the future earth where water and food are scarce due to global desertification. It is a series of short films of the same name directed by Choi Hang-yong, who received great attention at the 13th Missen Short Film Festival in 2014, and will show a tense and unpredictable story with a vast space.
Jung Woo-sung, who has recently won the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Actor, has turned into a producer with 'Silence Sea'. Jung Woo-sung, who has gathered topics with fresh moves to make and star at the same time in the short film "Do not forget me" feature film in 2016, will work with Netflix to make a new transformation.
The screenplay of 'Silence Sea' is directed by Park Eun-kyo, who won the 29th Korean Film Critics Association Award for the movie 'Mother', and directed by Choi Hang-yong, who directed the original work. It will be released via Netflix, and the timing of its release is not yet known.
