Noodles Nail Polish Summer 2018 Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! I have the Summer Collection from Noodles Nail Polish to show you tonight. You know I've been extremely impressed with the variety of finishes and quality of Natalie's polishes, so let's see if this continues with this set. It's another 6-piece collection with glitter and flakes galore. These will release this Saturday, June 23rd at 5 PM ET and will only be available individually this time. All polishes will be priced at $9.50. Polish Con was this past weekend, and there were overpours! I asked Natalie about this and this is what she had to say:

"The neon trio will be available for $28. There are a limited amount of sets available and they will not be restocked once sold out. There will be a few individual bottles of “Cloud Nine” and “Paradise” available due to overpour which will be priced at $9.50 each and will not restock once sold out.
We will also be giving away our Polish Con exclusive “City Lights and Midsummer Nights” to anyone who purchases 3 or more bottles while supplies last. We have overpour and won’t be selling it since it was an exclusive, but in honor of our 5th anniversary we would like to share this polish with those who couldn’t make it :) There is no code necessary, it will be added to orders that qualify."

Count me in! I was eyeing the Polish Con exclusives in the Noodles Nail Polish Fans group (make sure to join us for all the fun) so I'll be getting those. So the Summer Collection and Polish Con polishes will all be available this Saturday. Whew, that what a lot of text, and I hope you're still with me. I think it's time to see some pretties, right?

Noodles Nail Polish Aloha (2 coats)

Oh yes, we're starting off with a bang! I feel like one of the few bloggers who loves pink polishes. Sure, plain pink cremes aren't too unique, but add some contrasting shimmer or glitter and you've got a recipe for a pretty polish. Aloha is a cotton candy pink crelly base with small silver holo glitter and microflakes, purple microflakes, and strong blue shimmer in the background. It dried with a little bit of texture from the glitters, but it's not gritty at all. I used 2 coats for my swatches, but you may need 3 if you use really thin coats. Removal wasn't too difficult because it's not too glitter-heavy.

Noodles Nail Polish Mermaid Kisses (3 coats)

Up next we have Mermaid Kisses which is a purple jelly base (very blue based) with lots of UCC flakes, blue, pink, and purple holographic glitters, silver holo glitter, and turquoise microflakes. All of this translates into a blurple jelly with a bunch of flakes and glitter. It's so full of bling! This one dried with more texture than the others, so make sure to use a thicker topcoat. Since this one is a jelly, I used 3 thin coats for full coverage.

Noodles Nail Polish Moonlit Seas (3 coats, artificial light)

Noodles Nail Polish Moonlit Seas (3 coats, direct sunlight)

I hope you remember Noodles Nail Polish Moonlit Gardens from the Spring Collection. That one was a purple linear holo polish, while Moonlit Seas is a blue version of that one. The blue/green shifting shimmers often look gold to my eye, and it's more noticeable in indoor light. The formula was thinner than the others, but it wasn't troublesome. Just be careful not to flood the cuticle area with too much polish on the brush. It dried completely smooth, and I used 3 thin coats for my photos. Did I mention that IT'S SO HOLO?!

Noodles Nail Polish Ride the Wave (2 coats)

Yup, Ride the Wave is my favorite of the set and it was the first polish I put on. It's a clear base full of blue/turquoise microflakes, holographic flakes, and silver flakes with blue and purple shimmer. It reminds me of a flakie that Pahlish could put out, and that really is a feat because Shannon does amazing flakie polishes. Ugh, I love this so much. I used 2 thicker coats for my swatches, but you may need a third if you apply thin coats. It dried with a little texture, but a layer of topcoat smoothed everything out.

Noodles Nail Polish Sweet Summer (3 coats)

Boy, it's been a sweet summer so far. It's been about 100 degrees here in NC, and summer technically doesn't start until Thursday! The polish Sweet Summer is a white crelly base with larger pink and coral circular and hexagonal glitter, and smaller aqua and peach microglitter. Again, Natalie is such a natural at glitter color combinations. It's such a soft and calm color. Some people may shy away from crellies because they don't apply well, but Natalie really has it perfected. Three coats was needed, but it applied flawlessly. I recommend a thicker topcoat with the crellies due to the glitter load.

Noodles Nail Polish Warm Rays and Beach Days (3 coats)

Yay, another crelly! Warm Rays and Beach Days is a baby blue crelly base with turquoise, blue, gold, and yellow hexagonal glitter in various sizes. I'm not sure why, but a couple times I thought it was green instead of blue. My guess is that the color of the glitter threw my eye. Again, I used 3 thin coats for full opacity, and it dried with some texture. To make things easier for removal, I suggest a peel-off basecoat for any glitter-heavy polish.

And that's all, folks! Yet another gorgeous collection from Noodles Nail Polish. No matter your preference for finish, Noodles has a polish for you which is really refreshing from an indie brand. I really love every color from the set, but if I must give my top picks, I would have to say Ride the Wave, Aloha, and Warm Rays and Beach Days. Again, these will be released this Saturday, June 23rd at 5 PM EST. I don't have any swatches of the Polish Con exclusives, so make sure to join the Noodles Nail Polish Fan group for some pictures. If any polishes from the Summer Collection happen to sell out, they will be restocked at a later date (this does not include the Polish Con exclusives). Each polish will be sold individually for $9.50 (no sets this time). You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group.
